SO THAT’S MBFWA 2016 FOLKS

All that fashion in just one week? (More technically 4 days)

It’s my third time here at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia and I tell you I love it. Many people may go on about what people say or the faux pas of the what happens at fashion week. But seriously let’s put all that silly business aside, for us Aussies this is one of the few events we can all come together (locally) and let our fashion freak flags fly free. It’s like this big family that comes together and even if you are new to it, you are always welcome. We all know the hustle it takes to get there and we all gotta respect each other for that. Realistically the one thing that is true within fashion week is that everyone just wants to be included, basically every show is like the popular group at school and we all just want to sit in for 10 minutes to see what it’s like. Except this time the popular kids are hard working and extremely talented people, maybe more the creative cool kids at school?

The designers spend endless hours putting together this truly unique expression of their craft and it’s that passion that draws us all there. Some of you may think, “But hey Aicha, some people don’t care about the designers or the process it takes to get there. They just want to sit front row & be famous” and I agree with you, that is true. It’s just fact, those people exist but there is a magical handful who want to showcase Australia’s fashion to not only Australia but the whole world. We all know who those people are and I think, just ignore it? Because in the end of the day your work speaks for itself and isn’t it more about the fashion yo?! That’s why I created this fashion extravaganza on The Fashion Heist. To show how much I love this magical experience and I want to share it with you all.
