“Should you embrace the strapless dress?”

This year seems to be the year of off the shoulder & strapless dresses, which I know for some people can be quite frightening. As these styles can sometimes be unflattering but just like any trend or new style of clothing, it’s all about find the right version to suit you. In regards to the dress I am wearing in this post, when on the hanger I was quite unsure if it would suit me. But as you can see in the photos I fell in love with it and the dress fits like a glove.

Here are some tips on how find the perfect strapless dress

Is it the right fabric?
When trying on a strapless dress I find that fabrications with a bit of stretch in it is perfect.

Get the right shape
Pay attention to the way your body moves & sits in the dress. Many strapless styles can be quite fitted, so be aware of where it hugs your body.

Are you sure this the style for you?
Like any trend don’t just jump on the bandwagon because everyone else is, make sure it truly suits you and you feel comfortable.
