UNIVERSAL BLACK DREAMS X THE FASHION HEIST

If you haven’t noticed I have love nothing more than an all black look and even more a black crop top. With denim skirts making a come back I fell in love with A Brand’s black denim skirt that has the coolest 90’s vibe that you simply can’t resist it. For this look I aimed to grunge up a searing hot summer in the Queensland weather, whether you are heading to your favourite festival or just just trying something new for the day this look is meant to make you feel strong and confident.

Universal Store^ is the place to go to get this 90s Athletic vibe for summer, the Australian based company has always been a go to destination for a huge array of emerging Australian labels and the old faithful brands we know and love. With the help of Universal I put together this look with a Cameo Acoustic Bra in Black, the detailing of this piece is so beautiful, meaning it can be placed back with a white maxi skirt for a more simple look. To bring in my grunge feel I place the bra with a ABrand Blade Runner A Skirt, the name says it all it’s pretty much the coolest denim skirt I own at the moment. WIth major zip detail which is something I always love, I’ve been able to pair it back with every tee I own which is perfect for any summer wardrobe. To finish off my look I paired back the Universal pieces with my favourite pair of Le Specs and old faithful Jeffrey Campbell wedge boot to finish off the whole look.

Remember that all black looks in summer can be particularly hard (especially if you are in Australia) but by working separates you don’t have to worry about the heat. An essential in every girls wardrobe is a detailed crop top (in black if you are inclined) so far I have too many! I find them perfect to pair back with anything in your wardrobe whether it’s your favourite high waisted skirt or jeans. Muses for this look would most definitely be Joans Smalls and Zoe Kravitz.
