“How to beat those dark thoughts”

Now and then things can get a little overwhelming and it’s hard to envision the end goal. Now and again I visit this dark space and the only way I push myself out of there is by myself. I’m a huge believer in positive affirmations and exercise in tackling the tough times. So here is my three tips on getting back on the road to positivity.

1. Have A Diary

A diary is a great way to plan out our life and once you start planning – there is always something to look forward to. Whether it be a big meeting or just a catchup with a friend or even an overdue self time, you want to make sure that you know it’s there in the future.


2. Get Out There!

I am definitely a culprit in this one, last year I was so home office focused I forgot to go outside. You need to go outside, sit in the sun or even walk to the mailbox. Just get that Vitamin D and fresh oxygen into your lungs!


3. Have a killer playlist

Having a playlist for all situations in life, work, exercise and chilling is very necessary. Music always drastically changes my mood – nothing like a good beat to lift your spirits and get your body back into the groove of positivity! I totally recommend my favourite artist Majid Jordan – seriously tasty beats.


I wanted to add that working from the inside out or outside in is best, whatever level you feel you can change for the better do it! Remember an incredible outfit can change your whole outlook on a day in a matter of seconds!
